He never scored a single goal, stopped an opponent pouncing at the other end or had his name chanted by the Molineux crowd. But he was part of the furniture for the best seasons Wolverhampton Wanderers have known since their glory years under Stan Cullis. Norwegian-born Toby Andersen wasn't just any old physio. He helped nurse Wolves' skipper back to fitness where his long-serving predecessor had failed, he possibly saved Derek Dougan's life in a derby against Albion and he even organised two pre-season tours to Scandinavia.

Knowles 'Could Have Gone A Long Way'

Fred Kemp was born in the same season as Peter Knowles, signed professional at the same age and shared digs with him near Molineux. There, however, he insists the similarities end. "Peter was much better than me," he admits, "a terrific player. I had a decent career, most of it away from Molineux but he had outstanding ability and could have gone a long, long way if he had stayed with it.

Walker's High Life Memories

Steve Mardenborough's place in Molineux folklore is secure for all time - but Paul Walker insists that at least some of the Anfield spotlight should have shone on him. The header Mardenborough sent looping over Bruce Grobbelaar in January, 1984 was the only first-team goal the striker scored in his Wolves career.
