Hibbitt Next In Line

Question Time For Ken

Kenny in his Molineux pomp.

Kenny Hibbitt is next up in Wolves Heroes’ player q & a area – so please be ready with your questions for him.

To coincide with the midfield legend’s New Year elevation to the Molineux Hall of Fame, we will be turning the spotlight on him in the coming weeks.

And John Richards, who has been asked to say a few words about his long-time former team-mate at the star-studded January occasion, will again be doing the interview.

“I must have played a few hundred games alongside Ken, so I suppose I have a head start in putting a few questions to him,” the striker said.

“But we are again looking to Wolves Heroes readers to make suggestions of their own that we can add to the mix.”

Since he himself was interviewed in depth at the start of the year, Richards has put the questions to Bert Williams, Mike Bailey and Andy Thompson.

He has been helped along the way by followers of Molineux Mix and fans can again contact us by emailing JR@wolvesheroes.com or info@wolvesheroes.com

Hibbitt’s place in Wolverhampton Wanderers folklore is guaranteed.

The latter-day version.....

Signed for a pittance by Ronnie Allen from Bradford Park Avenue as a youngster, he played a colossal 574 games for the club to stand second in the all-time appearance makers list behind Derek Parkin.

His total of 114 goals for them is bettered by only nine men in Molineux history – Steve Bull, Richards, Billy Hartill, Johnny Hancocks, Jimmy Murray, Peter Broadbent, Harry Wood, Dennis Westcott and Derek Dougan.

Hibbitt remains a frequent visitor to Molineux in his role as a Premier League referees’ assessor.
