Hall Of Fame: Big Reveal On Way
New Inductees Chosen And Soon To Be Announced
Wolves supporters will start to learn over the next week or two of the latest inductees to Molineux’s impressive hall of fame.
The names of the chosen men will initially be revealed in the Express & Star and on this website ahead of the induction dinner at the end of next month.
But we suggest our readers also take a regular look at Wolves Former Players Association | Together we are stronger (wolvesfpa.com) for in-depth follow-ups and any number of other high-quality player features by Paul Berry.
We are sworn to secrecy for now on the identities of the latest inductees but can disclose that there are more than usual, given the long wait since the last batch.
It was back in 2017 that the latest admissions to this treasured group were made, with Jack Brodie, Frank Munro, Andy Thompson and Dennis Westcott taking their places.
Covid and then the fire in the Billy Wright Stand last year have since stalled plans to expand this elite band but the dinner a few weeks before the end of the season will honour more famous names.
There are no more tickets available for the event, which we will be attending to help do full justice to the 2023 selections.
Paul Berry, head of media at the club for around a decade until 2017-18, is on the hall of fame committee under the chairmanship of John Richards, who was one of the second wave of inductees in 2010.
Also sitting on the panel have been Wolves Former Players Association administrator Richard Green, Steve Gordos, Nick Elwell, David Instone and the newest member, Peter Crump.
Peter works in the magnificent museum in Molineux’s Stan Cullis Stand, where a special area paying tribute to the hall of fame favourites is being expanded.
