Countdown Is On…..Time For Some Community Mingling

A cluster of former Wolves players are following up another of their regular lunchtime get-togethers by going in various directions in the next few days to attend festive events.
For the first time on Monday, Dean Edwards was among the dining ‘squad’ at The Fox at Shipley, his presence at the table doing much to broaden the age range of attendees.
The mid-1980s Molineux striker – on a visit back to Wolverhampton from his home in Torquay – was honoured to be among a gathering containing several of his heroes from a decade or so earlier.
The line-up was made up of Colin Brazier, Steve Daley, Mel Eves, Bob Hazell, Gerry O’Hara, Geoff Palmer, Derek Parkin, Barry Powell, physio Tony Anderson and Wolves Former Players Association chairman John Richards.
Also there was FPA administration manager Richard Green, to whom we are grateful for these photographs.
The round of seasonal appearances begins on Friday, with Daley, Eves and Richards going to the Grand Theatre Memory Cafe party at Dunstall Park.
The Wolves Foundation’s Molineux Memories party takes place next Wednesday in the stadium’s North Bank Bar.

Then comes the Wolves Disabled Supporters party at the Goodyear Pavilion the following day.
We probably don’t highlight the valuable efforts of the Molineux favourites as often as we should considering what frequent visitors they are to different community events throughout the year.
We trust the social whirl will provide the usual fun and mutual benefits, then the players themselves will have time to plan some Christmas shopping.
