We at Wolves Heroes are planning to revert to tried-and-trusted methods for several weeks over the early part of summer.
As with the finals of past major international tournaments, we are planning to introduce a flow of specially themed posts during the staging of Euro 24.
That means there will be an emphasis from us on stories about the home nations, or international football as a whole, for the next month or so.
Our change of direction is due to be implemented from Thursday and will continue throughout the championships or, at least, while there is strong interest in the tournament within these shores.
A spread of subjects from across the decades will be featured, so Wolves’ halcyon 1950s days will be covered as well as considerably more recent seasons.
We already have several such stories written, both from close to home and much, much further away, and will be digging for more in the coming weeks.
If any readers have certain topics in mind that hold particular interest or curiosity, please draw our attention to them and we will see what we can do.
England’s first game in Germany is against Serbia on Sunday night and we hope to be writing a novelty item around our group games a little further down the line.
The final is in Berlin on Sunday, July 14, with Gareth Southgate’s side also facing Group C games against Denmark in Frankfurt on June 20 and Slovenia in Cologne on June 25.
We wish the very best of luck to them and also to Scotland, who kick off Euro 24 against the hosts in Group A in Munich tomorrow and also face Switzerland on June 19 and Hungary four days later.
