Death Of Fred Kemp Announced

We at Wolves Heroes were deeply saddened today by news of the passing-away of Fred Kemp.

The Molineux-groomed former wing-half, who had a full playing career despite making only three first-team appearances here, had been blighted by health issues for several years.

He also served Southampton, Blackpool, Halifax, Hereford, South African club Durban City, Weymouth and Telford.

The 80-year-old was very popular among his contemporaries and those who came long after him and we will be writing much more about him in the coming weeks.

We will make every effort to be at his funeral and to time our lengthy tribute piece accordingly.

In the meantime, we extend our deepest condolences to his wife, Glenys, and the rest of their family.
