Richards In The Hot Seat

Former Striker’s Heroes Role

Reporting for duty.....

John Richards is to mark his increased involvement with Wolves Heroes by
kicking off a new feature in the New Year.

The legendary former Molineux striker, a committed supporter of this website since its launch more than 16 months ago, has joined us this month as an active partner.

And his new role is to include the overseeing of a regular Player Q and A section from the middle of January.

We are linking up with our friends at www.molineuxmix.co.uk to find questions that supporters would like to ask Wolves stars of yesteryear.

Every few weeks, a different player will be chosen and announced as the man to field fans’ questions under John’s supervision. And he himself will be the first subject – an occasion timed to concide with his induction to Wolves’ Hall of Fame.

“In the future, I will be a go-between,” he said. “This is the supporters’ chance to ask the questions – I’ll just collate them and take them to the player in question.

“Then, we’ll present the answers in Q and A form on Wolves Heroes.

John Richards, as 1970s Wolves fans remember him.

“I’m delighted to be on board with what I think is a terrific site and to be taking a bigger role.

“We will be featuring players from different eras and, although it’s always great for me to meet up with the lads I played with, I also enjoy speaking to those from other generations to compare training methods, tactics etc.”

As well as inviting Wolves Heroes readers and posters on Molineux Mix to submit questions to John
here, we also hope to encourage further debate and player memories on the Molineux Mix forum.

Richards, scorer of a then club record 194 League and cup goals for Wolves and also their former MD, still works a mile or so from Molineux for Pitchcare, the company who designed this site.
