Everyone at Wolves Heroes has been greatly saddened to hear about the passing-away of Terry Wharton.
The 83-year-old has died in New Cross Hospital following a short illness and will be mourned by all who knew him.
Terry was a hugely popular figure in Molineux circles with his dry wit and wonderful raconteur skills and played 242 League and Cup games for the club.
With kick-off of the Premier League game against West Ham only a few hours away, we will be writing at much greater length on this saddest of stories in the coming days.
In the meantime, we extend our deepest condolences to his lovely wife, Sue, and their family. On Facebook, she has today described this as the saddest and most heartbreaking time of her life.
