Death Of Kenny Jackett Announced

We at Wolves Heroes would like to add our own condolences to the many already expressed following the awful news of Kenny Jackett’s death.

The lack of recent updates about the condition of the former Molineux boss had prompted us to hope he was quietly winning his cancer battle.

So the announcement of his passing at the age of 64 has come as a major shock – as it will to all those who knew him during his three and a bit years in the West Midlands.

Kenny was appointed by Steve Morgan and Jez Moxey in the summer of 2013 soon after the drop to League One and immediately inspired the climb back to the second grade as champions.

Wolves totalled 103 points to finish nine ahead of runners-up Brentford and then had a spirited dart at a second successive promotion, only to miss out on goal difference behind Brentford and Ipswich.

Jackett departed at the very start of the Fosun years and subsequently held several other posts. 

But he stands joint 11th on the list of Wolves managers in terms of League and cup games overseen.
