Wolves legends Steve Bull and Billy Wright are being celebrated at a dinner at Molineux this autumn to mark the launch of a new book about their fantastic deeds.
‘Billy & Bully’ is the evocative story of two of the club’s greatest ever icons and is being compiled by journalist and author David Instone with a view to publication shortly before the function on the evening of Wednesday, November 18.
All paying guests at the dinner will receive a free copy of the hard-back book, which draws a surprising number of coincidences in the duo’s careers as well as some stark contrasts.
Bully will be present to help hand out a limited edition signed by himself and the author and also to engage in a question-and-answer session with guests.
And the welcome met will be laid out as well for Ron Flowers, who will be offering an insight into the secrets of why Billy, his long-time Molineux and England colleague, was so successful.
“It’s a lovely chance for Wolves fans to get close again to two of the club’s greatest players of all time,” said dinner organiser Tony Andrews.
“Tickets cost £50 each, or less for multiple bookings, and that includes a signed book worth the best part of £20.
“Wolverhampton Wanderers have always excelled at honouring their heroes and we’re sure this will be another quality function which guests will remember for a long time.”
The three-course dinner is being hosted by BBC WM’s Daz Hale and is followed by tea, coffee and mints and a charity fund-raising raffle and auction of unique memorabilia supporting Alzheimers memory walks and High Arcal School, Sedgley.
