In Praise Of Billy
Yesteryear Arsenal Glories Were Based On The Wright Way
Further reminders of the positives of Billy Wright’s easily dismissed career in football management have come to light as Arsenal prepare to launch the defence of their Premier League title this weekend. Molineux – But Not As We Know It

His condition was subsequently described as a chest infection but he failed to recover.
Knowing where to start paying tribute to this giant of a man and character is difficult but we will try to adequately do so in the next few days and again around the time of his funeral.

Season Opener With An Unfamiliar Look
So who scored for Wolves the last time they kicked off a campaign with a domestic cup match? And who was their debutant the last but one time that a season started for them with a game against familiar opposition in anything other than a League fixture? A pat on the back for everyone who named Sylvain Ebanks-Blake – the marksman in a Capital One Cup first-round home tie against Aldershot Town on August 11, 2012 – as the answer to the first question.
